At the heart of a wine estate in Beaune

Philippe and Anne-Marie Dufouleur passionately cultivate the Climats of Burgundy, listed as UNESCO World Heritage. Their wine estate in Beaune carries on an independent family history, championing the exceptional terroirs of the Côte de Beaune. No fewer than 14 appellations are cultivated across the estate's 5 hectares. Through plot-by-plot production, each wine expresses finesse, balance and authenticity.

Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy

Beaune is known the world over as the wine capital of Burgundy. Set in the heart of this history-steeped town, the Les Jardins de Loïs wine estate enjoys a rare location, between the tranquillity of the vineyards and the buzz of the town centre — an ideal setting to soak up the spirit of Burgundian terroir, between walks through the vines and cultural visits.

Tasting in a cellar in Beaune, Burgundy

By reservation, a free tasting is offered every day at 5pm. In their cellars, visitors discover the nuances of several of the estate's appellations: Beaune les Longes, Beaune Clos du Dessus des Marconnets, Beaune 1er Cru Cent-Vignes, Beaune 1er Cru Clos du Roi, Beaune 1er Cru les Champs Pimonts, Beaune 1er Cru le Clos des Perrières, Beaune Clos Saint-Désiré and Savigny-lès-Beaune les Planchots. The experience, guided by a professional, highlights the subtleties of pinot noir and chardonnay. Between education and sensory pleasure, it explores aromas, textures, styles and ageing potential.

What does the tasting include?

The tasting, held in our historic cellars, offers a discovery of several of the estate's cuvées, accompanied by the insights of a professional passionate about their craft. It's the ideal opportunity to better understand the appellations of the Côte de Beaune, winemaking methods and the specifics of each plot, before leaving, if you wish, with your favourite bottles.

Family tradition and expertise

Passed down through several generations, the Dufouleur family maintains a human-scale approach: sustainable viticulture, precise harvesting, plot-by-plot winemaking and differentiated ageing. Every step aims to preserve the expression of the terroir and the quality of the cuvées. Located right next to the ramparts and the Hôtel-Dieu of the Hospices de Beaune, the estate blends tradition and modernity in an authentic setting.
